This is the newly redecorated location in Winter Park, across from the Winter Park Village. They have really done a fantastic job with the Decore. When you walk in you notice immediately changes in all of the different colors of the interior of the restaurant. Beautiful wall of wine bottles on the left and on the right side of the bar. But the food is still Olive Garden. My wife and I went there one day for lunch. We both had soup, salad and breadsticks. You really cannot go wrong with this staple on their lunch menu. Their Toscana soup was delicious as always, and their unlimited salad has you begging for more. Our server that day was quite the character, forgive me I do not remember her name at this time. So far we only noticed a change in the Decore, but the food is pretty much the same. Olive Garden, the old reliable.

Andrea H. Wrote a great review summing up each new dish we tried, so I won't go back over the same :) My favorites were the Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich, yummy meatballs stuffed in a soft foccacia bun, the Crispy Risotto Bites, with their crispy (but not greasy) outside and creamy goodness inside (reminded me of fried mac n cheese), the Pappardelle Pescatore with its tender pasta and flavorfull red pepper seafood sauce, and of course dessert, the Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberries which was delicious! My least favorite item was the Roasted Tomato Caprese Salad Topper. The kale was a nice surprise addition but the salad was lacking in dressing which caused the kale at the top of the salad to be very dry. Each guest received two drink tickets for attending. I used my first drink ticket for the Moscato Berry Citrus Cocktail. It had a sweet blueberry flavor with a little fizz. It was very refreshing and I loved it! The other ticket I used to try the Strawberry Lemoncello Martini. I usually stray away from martinis because they are just too strong but this one was perfect. It had a sweet (not dry, tart) flavor with a sugar rim with lemon garnish and strawberry slice floaters. Olive Garden is definitely going in the right direction with these innovative new creations.

Nice facility, ok but overpriced food but bait and swich on wine order. Two of us ordered house wine when we sat down but were given much higher priced wines without asking us. I might have given the server th benefit of the doubt but she did it again on my second wine. Ordered lower priced Chianti by name which she repeated and charged me for premium version. Unapolegetic when tab arrived 25% higher than it should have been. Could have, eaten at Ruth Chris for the price

As a vegan, it is hard to find good places to eat. Olive Garden is very accommodating and the staff, manager, and kitchen manager came to the table to answer any questions that I had. Plus, knowing the breadsticks are vegan, makes visiting Olive Garden that much more exciting.

I must admit, it's been a while since I've been to an Olive Garden. In college, that was our "fancy dinner" spot when we were broke students. Since then, I thought my taste outgrew them, and have always opted for a local family-owned spot to fulfill my Italian food cravings. So I was interested in being re-introduced to Olive Garden this week. Their remodeled location in Winter Park is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had taken pictures of the waiting area and bar, very posh! Stop by and check it out! And grab a drink and some small plates while you're at it! We were treated to an 11 (yes, 11!) course tasting, with a little bit of everything- small plates, appetizers, entrees, and even an awesome dessert and cocktails. While everything was good, there were definitely some stand outs- I'm looking at you, Polenta Shrimp alla Greca! We were given a guide to what we were eating so we could make notes for the Olive Garden team to review our thoughts on each course. The Polenta Shrimp alla Greca is a Mediterranean inspired dish on their small plates menu. Some of the ladies at my table thought it was too salty, as it contains a blend of olives and capers mixed with the tomato sauce, but the creamy polenta really tames it down. I thought it was a nice combination of flavors, and really enjoyed it. I always enjoyed the traditional Olive Garden salad- I loved dipping my bread sticks in the dressing. They have added fresh mozzarella (which really makes everything automatically better), roasted tomatoes and peppers, kale, and basil to the already outstanding salad mix. The basil really makes a nice addition, giving it a fresh taste. The Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich was another favorite, with a nice marinara dipping sauce. I loved the focaccia bun and the kick of spice from the chicken meatballs. Well done! I would imagine this would be a lunch time offering, paired with some salad. As for the entrees, it is hard to say what was the best. Was it the Lasanga Fresca- a veggie lasagna with a creamy sundried tomato sauce, topped with shrimp? Or the Chicken Abruzzi- a nice, healthy, chicken and kale dish, with white beans and veggies? Or maybe the Pappardelle Pescatore- basically a bunch of yummy seafood tossed with asparagus in a creamy red pepper sauce? The answer would have to be all of the above. I would (plan to) come back for any one of these gems. By the time dessert rolled around, I nearly had to raise the white flag aka my napkin. But I had to have a bite of the Vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries. So rich and creamy, and by far worth stuffing a couple more bites down. Our server happily wrapped it up so I could enjoy it the right way the next day for lunch. This was a fun event, with a camera crew capturing everyone's reaction to the food. The staff was on top of everything, clearing out plates and ensuring our drinks were always full. I previously thought I was too good for Olive Garden, but if this is their new attitude, count me in!

The tasting event tonight at newly remodeled Olive Garden in Winter Park was amazing! We were given two drink tickets. For the first drink, I chose a Peach Bellini. It was frozen and soo refreshing. And I couldn't taste any alcohol (which could be bad!) We soon had the famous breadsticks. I was good and only had one...I had to pace myself! They talked to us a little bit about was going on. And introduced us to General Manager Will Cerrud. Then we got down to business! First up was the Crispy Risotto Bites which was Italian cheese with rice and slightly fried. This was my fav small plate. It was just perfectly put together and fried. Next was Polenta Shrimp alla Greca which had sauteed shrimp, creamy parmesan polenta, capers, Mediterranean olives, and tomato sauce. I liked this one okay. They polenta was good but there was an olive-y flavor which I'm not a huge fan of. Then we had Artichoke Fritti which was seasoned with garlic salt and parmesan and served with a 5 cheese marinara. I didn't really enjoy this one. The artichokes were bitter or sour or something. Just not for me. Then we had Roasted Tomato Caprese Salad Topper which was the traditional salad with kale, mozzarella, basil, roasted tomatoes, and peppers. The salad lacked the heavy salad dressing I loved and seemed only lightly spritzed with it (I couldn't taste it at all). But we were all grabbing those HUGE chucks of fresh mozzarella. Sooo good! Then we moved on to the Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich which was chicken meatballs, focaccia bread, oregano, red peppers, and mozzarella served on marinara sauce. I made sure not to get any red sauce on mine but the sandwich was sooo good! The bread could be a little crispier but that meatball with the mozzarella was delicious! I'd definitely order this for lunch. Next was Bucatini with Diavlo Sauce and Sausage Meatballs. This was meatballs on hollow spaghetti with a spicy sauce.I'm a wimp so I tried just a bit of the sausage and one of the noodles but it was too spicy for me. My friends who like spicy foods enjoyed it though! Then we had the Garlic Rosemary Chicken which was served with fresh spinach, caramelized garlic, and parmesan garlic mashed potatoes. This was surprising my second favorite entree of the night. Its on the Lighter Italian Fare portion of the menu and I don't usually enjoy those because they're too healthy tasting. But this chicken was sooo moist and the mashed potatoes and the sauce it was served with was yummy! Time for another drink! I tried the Moscato Citrus Berry Cocktail. Also really refreshing and perfectly sweet. I honestly couldn't pick between my favorite drink of the night. Next was the Lasagna Fresca, a seasonal item, which was sauteed shrimp, veggie lasagna (with squash, bell peppers, and zucchini), pesto and a sun-dried tomato sauce. THIS was my favorite entree of the night. All of it was just perfect. Shrimp and lasagna. And no red sauce! The sun-dried tomato sauce was so creamy. And after the lasagna was gone, I just kept eating the sauce. It was THAT good! Then we had the Chicken Abruzzi which was chicken with kale, cantalloni beans, savory broth and garden veggies. This too was on the Lighter Italian Fare portion of the menu. And I felt like you could tell it. It definitely tasted healthy. The last entree was Pappardelle Pescatore which was scallops, sauteed shrimp, clams, asparagus, tomatoes and pappardelle noodles in a creamy red pepper sauce. I really liked the seafood in this one. There were some bites that were a little too spicy for me so I just tried to find some without too much sauce. By this point we were sooo full but it was time for the Grand Finale! Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberries. This was the perfect ending to the meal! The Panna Cotta was delicious! It was such a fun night out and I enjoyed getting to try the new menu items and see the remodeled restaurant! Thank you to Olive Garden for inviting me!

I guess it is kind of weird to give 5 stars to Olive Garden, a chain restaurant...But I had such a fun experience that the only option is 5 stars. I have been to this Olive Garden several times and never thought to write a review. My boyfriend and I went near 10:00pm on a Friday (they close at 11:00pm-we weren't "those people". Our server, Kelvin, was fantastic. He gave us samples of a red and white wine-we ordered a glass and a half of each. We ordered the Cheese Fonduta appetizer - cheesey goodness. Kelvin suggested the 2 for $25 deal. We ordered that too. Lastly, we had tiramisu for dessert. All of the food was tasty. I was definitely satisfied with my food choices and had a bag of leftovers for later. The atmosphere was quiet, which was nice for a last minute date. In fact, the quiet restaurant and attentiveness of our server added to "date" feel. It was really nice and unexpectedly romantic. Of course, I'll be back.

Honestly, this was the worst experience I've had with food in general. I went to this location fairly recently with some family, and I was so disgusted. For starters, their breadsticks tasted like they gave us old ones from the day before; so stale. The salad was okay. Too much dressing for my liking, but whatever. While my mom was ordering the buy 1 take 1 for my younger brother, our waiter mentioned he gets a soup, and then he just left. He said he forgot someone's soup, and ditched us in the middle of taking our order! I realize customers come first, but please don't just leave right in the middle of taking someone's order. My main dish... Baked tilapia with shrimp. First, I don't know why I'd ever order fish anywhere. I thought to be adventurous, and I do really like tilapia. However, when my waiter set my dish down, I almost laughed. It looked disgusting. The fish was literally swimming in butter! The shrimp smelled old, and tasted worse than it looked. The broccoli with it wasn't doing anything for me. Extremely bland. I had maybe 5 bites until I couldn't stomach it. It was very unpleasant. My mom wasn't pleased with her meal, either. Needless to say, we are never coming back here. The whole rebranding makes it look ridiculous, and seems like you're trying too hard to make a comeback.

Wow! What a night! Olive Garden really rolled out the red carpet for those of us in attendance for this exclusive tasting event. And that even included a film crew to capture the night's events (and to interview a few of us too)! I was super excited to bring my husband along so he would have an opportunity to taste 11 brand spankin' new courses on the revamped Olive Garden menu. We live about a minute away and have eaten at this location several times in the past and once during the remodeling process. Olive Garden is definitely stepping up their game offering great dishes with elevated flavors that go well beyond your basic fettucine alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs. And along with the menu change is a new and updated restaurant logo and remodel. If you haven't been to this location, you are in for a real treat. Back to the event, we were treated to 2 drink tickets (per person) to try a cocktail or two. I tried the sangarita which I sipped the entire night. The glass was huuuuge or I'm just slow to drink. I will say that this would be a great value for someone wanting a big cocktail and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg. You certainly get your money's worth. Two thumbs up for Happy Hour! Now on to the courses....our server was awesome. She brought out course after course making sure to state the name of the dish and its ingredients for our meticulous notes. Some of the dishes that hit a home run with me were: 1st course: Crispy risotto bites - This was one of the small plates and one of my favorites of the night. They were light, crispy balls of Italian cheese and rice on a bed of marinara sauce aka little balls of yumminess! 2nd course: Polenta shrimp alla Greca - There were mixed thoughts at our table. I enjoyed the saltiness of the olives and capers with the shrimp while my husband and our friend, Andrea H., were not as fond of. We all did agree that the polenta was the bonus of the dish. 5th course: Smashed chicken meatball sandwich - I really liked this dish. My only recommendation is to find a bread that does not get easily soggy. The focaccia bread didn't seem to hold up well. I think that took away from the flavor of the chicken meatball instead of complimenting it. But the flavors of the chicken meatball coupled with the mozzarella and roasted bell peppers really worked well together! 6th course: Bucatini with Spicy Diavolo Sauce and Sausage Meatballs - While I didn't indulge in the sausage meatballs, I really enjoyed this dish. Actually both my husband and I did as we love spicier flavors and this one really hit a home run! This dish is part of "Cucina Mia" and is a build your own pasta option. I love, LOVED that I can substitute the meatball with a chicken option for my future visit. And if you aren't a fan of the sauce and/or the pasta choice, you have other options to choose from. 7th course: Garlic rosemary chicken - This was definitely the "comfort dish" of the night. While I'm not a huge fan of rosemary, I loved how tender the chicken breasts were and oh so flavorful! The cloves of garlic really added some intense flavor. And the garlic parmesan mashed potatoes were the obvious hit! I would order this when I'm craving the closest thing to a home cooked meal! 8th course: Lasagna fresca- This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. I was bummed to learn it was a seasonal dish so I will make a point to order the next time I dine here. There were layers of hand folded vegetable lasagna , sautéed shrimp topping the dish and a wonderful sundried tomato sauce. It was not overly heavy and simply delicious. 10th course: Pappardelle Pescatore- Another of my favorite dishes of the evening. There was no skimping of seafood here--a generous serving of sautéed shrimp, bay scallops and clams combined with fresh asparagus and tomatoes tossed with pappardelle pasta and a creamy red pepper seafood sauce. Boring old shrimp fettucine alfredo has nothing on this dish! 11th course: Vanilla Panna Cotta with strawberries- Another seasonal dish that I hope they make permanent. So tender, light and creamy and the strawberries puree really added to this simple dessert. I was absolutely impressed with the staff and management. This was no ordinary Tuesday night. The Executive Chef came by to hear our feedback and was genuinely happy for us to be there. Thank you to Olive Garden, Jenni I, and Vanessa T for organizing such a wonderful event. My husband and I felt very lucky and thankful to be a part of such a memorable night.

I came here with the lowest of expectations. Those expectations were met, and even slightly exceeded. That isn't saying a lot, but it was still a pretty decent experience. I would like to compliment the appearance of the innards of this great creature... a creature into who's bowels you enter, willingly, and instead of being digested, are fed. The food that you receive is evidently very well known, such that even Kathy Griffith was known to ask red carpet celebrities, "what is your favorite meal at Olive Garden?" I entered here knowing nothing, having last eaten at OG in, let's say, 1998. I'm just a little surprised that this restaurant is so well known for Italian food, in that the flavors were fairly dull, and the portions quite small. We shared a big plate of fettuccine alfredo and the Tour of Italy, which included three items, one of which may very well have been lasagna. Even so, I was able to finish everything on the table and still want a bit more. That's just me, but I'm still in the home-cookin-goodness mindset that when in an Italian restaurant, you should be taking home about 5 pounds of food. As for the reasonability of cost, I wouldn't say it was overpriced, but getting close since it wasn't terribly good. The $15 gift certificate really took the edge off. I usually don't care what the service is like anywhere I go, preferring to be left alone. I got it, from an uncomfortable waitress who, in a rare oversight, didn't refill my glass of Coke. She also had a really hard time explaining the dessert menu... apparently a tiny dessert was included in my meal, but it took some doing to figure out which. It seems to me that what OG is going for with the whole rebranding business is a vastly improved interior design and vastly smaller portions than any other Italian restaurant. I don't see a reason to go here with all the other choices in Winter Park, but of course there is a certain comfort in the familiar, and people seem reeeeally familiar with this place.

Can you say Red Carpet treatment? This Olive Garden has a new and improved look and a new menu. 20 Yelpers were invited to a tasting to sample an 11 course. This event was also filmed for training purposes. However, some clips may end up on youtube. The 11 courses were: * Crispy Risotto Bites (my favorite small plate) * Polenta Shrimp alla Greca * Artichoke Fritti (appetizer) * Roasted Tomato Caprese Salad Topper (I like the traditional salad better) * Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich * Bucatini with Spicy Diavolo Sauce and Sausage Meatballs (super spicy) * Garlic Rosemary Chicken (Yummy in my tummy) * Lasagna Fresca (veg lasagna with shrimp on top Great dish) * Chicken Abruzzi (so so) * Pappardelle Pescatore (Great seafood pasta dish) * Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberries (Perfect ending 2 thumbs up) This was an awesome event we were treat like VIP's. Kudos to the staff for providing above and beyond superior service.

Upon walking in we were nicely greeted. The booth we were sat in clearly needed to be reupholstered. My menu had food residue on it which turned me off completely. There were also food particles on my glass. DISGUSTING! The service was subpar waiter was nice but waited awhile for refills. The food was average..consistent though with all olive gardens.

I had the pleasure of trying out their new menu tasting and to check out the new look of Olive Garden. Love the new renovation of this location. It looks very modern compared to the older decor that you usually see at standard locations. Service for this tasting was fantastic. The new menu definitely took it up a notch, adding new textures, flavors and even the spice! I would definitely recommend the cripsy riosotto bites with extra sauce on the side, and the seafood pappardelle pescatore. If you are feeling up to making your own pasta, I would always pick the diavlo sauce with bucatini hands down and add some meatballs or shrimp for protein. I love the heat and the texture of the pasta. Its a great homey dish feel. And for the sweet ending, I believe this dessert was seasonal but I absolutely loved it. If you ever get the chance, definitely try the vanilla panna cotta with strawberries. You won't be disappointed! I think Olive Garden has done a great revamp of their brand and making their menu even better with a lot more different options.

Does anyone have a time machine? If so, may I borrow it for like a couple hours? I need to use it so I could go to the tasting event again - LOL! I was already impressed when I heard about their new menu earlier this year but I am happy and surprised to say that I think they took other Yelpers opinions and made their new items even better! Like many others there that night, we had opportunity to share a 11 course tasting menu including appetizers, small plates, entrees, desserts, and two alcoholic beverages. I like to just name a few of my faves that night which are the Polenta Shrimp ala Greca (small plate from Italty), Artichoke Friti (new app), Garlic Rosemary Chicken, Pappardelle Pescatore (Seafood with pasta and cream sauce), and Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich. All super delicious and to be honest, very unlike the "traditional" Olive Garden as what we've have come to associate with and some time make fun of. I'll kind of bullet point why I like the dishes I've tried up there: - Polenta Shrimp ala Greca: large shrimp sautéed over creamy perfect cooked polenta with chopped olives. I liked the addition of chopped olives that adds that briny tastes and extra saltiness that cuts into the creaminess of the polenta. -Artichoke Friti: LOVE the texture of the fried artichoke hearts. The batter is not thick at all but rather a light coat and adds the perfect crunch to the tender artichokes. I could have eaten them alone or with the sauce they served. -Garlic Rosemary Chicken (entree): I am a garlic person. I'm one of those that cooks with it, eats it, sleeps with it - ok, not really sleep with it but its one of those things I can't live with out. When they set this dish on the table and the moment I caught a whiff of the garlic aroma, I was a happy camper. Seared tender chicken on a bed of spinach and a side of GARLIC mash! Delish. You know whats the best part? It was part of their 575 calories menu! Boo-yah! -Pappardelle Pescatore: Great fresh seafood including clams, bay scallops, and large shrimp with a wide cut pasta and creamy sauce. -Smashed chicken Meatball Sandwich: I've had a chance to try it previously and felt that they have improved on this dish immensely! The chicken was tender but I could tell it was really meaty. The focaccia was toasted perfect so it was not a soggy mess. Bonus: I was told this can be ordered with their Diavolo sauce (spicy red sauce)! -Diavolo sauce: Okay, this isn't really a dish but its one of their red sauces that turns out to be good on a lot of things. I also really liked that its spicy! Kicks everything it touches up a notch! Besides the food, the restaurant itself has renovated! It has removed their traditional flare and really connected with what people like, which are clean lines and leans more toward a lenient contemporary style with the light fixtures and the wine display when you walk in. Very welcoming. Last note: I love all the servers there and the managers at that location! I especially give thanks to Emily which she was just so pleasant and wonderful. I had a great time there and thank you to Jenni, Vanessa, and Olive Garden Winter Park, plus the media crew!

I had an awesome experience at the 11 item menu tasting. I eat regularly at Olive Garden and I have to admit that I've now been pushed out if my comfort zone. The new items are very tasty and unique combinations. I really enjoyed the appetizers and the healthy menu options. My favorites were the Artichoke Fritti, Polenta Shrimp alla Greca, Smashed Chicken Meatball Sandwich, Garlic Rosemary Chicken. The restaurant design and decor is very classy. I love the private dinning area which is great for small private events or gatherings. The service was outstanding!!! We were treated like royalty. The staff was very interested in our candid review of the menu items. They were all very friendly and the General Manager Will came by to visit our table and invited us back. This experience deserves a five star...my only minor hesitation is that this is a chain restaurant which has raised my level of expectation at all Olive Gardens.

Olive Garden had been around forever. People either like it or they don't. I usually only come when I'm in the mood for soup and salad because I love their minestrone soup. This day it tasted off. The tomatoes taste was overwhelming. I asked the waiter for the eggplant parmasean instead. Excellent customer service. Waiter asked for specifics. A chef came out and asked for specifics. The manager came to check on me. They were very professional. In the rush to get my eggplant parmasean out fast it wasn't crispy like it usually is but I didn't complain again. It's not where I go for great Italian food but the customer service was great. I would go back.

Food was excellent! Get the new(Ish) spicy 3 meat marinara sauce with a spoonful of Alfredo (if you don't normally eat spicy) with the shrimp frittata - really good. And ask for Emily as a server - very sweet and bubbly!

I had not been to Olive Garden for years for whatever reason. We decided to go there for lunch today. Wow..Olive Garden has gotten a complete facelift. As soon as you walk in you don't even feel like it's Olive Garden. Modern Italian Vibe yet very welcoming. You are greeted immediately by a friendly hostess. There are comfy seats while you wait but we didn't need them we were seated immediately. The bar has also gotten a facelift. More comfy seats and it's beautifully backlit displaying all the spirits. Menu. The menu still has what I consider their classics. YOu can still affordably get soup, salad, and breadsticks and many other options. They have a dine here, take home concept that seems really budget friendly. They have some higher end items like filets as well. We started with salad and breadsticks (and alfredo dipping sauce) Service was amazing we never ran out of anything. They offered us a sample of wine which we enjoyed but declined a bottle for the meal. I ordered the eggplant parm and my husband got stuffed chicken marsala. Both were really tasty. I was able to substitute cappelli for spaghetti (they had soo many pasta choices) Portions again were huge we took half of our entrees home. 50s and 60s Italian pop songs were playing in the background. Desserts looked amazing but we declined. They still hand out Andes mints with the check. This facelift/re-branding what ever it is is fantastic and will give some other W.P. Restaurants some competition. I'm giving it a rare 5 stars I really can't find anything to deduct a star. Service, Ambiance, Food, comfort were all stellar.

A really great event. One of the best I've been too. There were so many dishes to try plus two free drinks. The staff was excellent and very attentive and the general manager seemed to really care about the new dishes that everyone was trying. If you had questions people were available to answer and it had a real movie star feel with the cameras rolling. There were multiple appetizers and entrees. Plus of course a desert. My favorite appetizer was the artichoke fritti and my favorite entree the rosemary garlic chicken (bonus the chicken is on their lighter fare menu). Loved the new salad too the fresh mozzarella was really flavorful. Overall everything was fabulous and it was great getting to try so many dishes and even to get stuff to take home.

I've been enjoying dining alone while I work these days, especially lunchtime. The other day I was craving Olive Garden and went to this location in Winter Park. My first question to the greeters was, "You do have wifi, correct?" They don't, and I turned around and walked out. I considered another Darden restaurant in my area but assumed that the other chains would also be without wifi. Maybe I shouldn't make that assumption, but I didn't want to spend the time finding out. Perhaps Darden has done their pro formas and decided it didn't make business sense to add wifi, but when you consider that I will now avoid all Darden restaurants in favor of places who understand that wifi is a way of life in 2014... maybe it's time to reconsider. It was easy finding wifi across the street at Taps Bar and Lounge. Great food... and wifi. I will be spending my money there now.

EXTREMELY slow service, even with it being a slow Sunday evening. We asked our waitress to please check in with us more often as our drinks sat empty for over 10 minutes multiple times.

Olive Garden is a good place to go if you are in your sixties and want to feel like you are one of the youngest patrons. It is not a good place to go if you want really good Italian food or excellent value. For the same amount you would spend at Olive Garden, you are likely to find the real deal at local, family-owned restaurant. Olive Garden (and sister restaurant, Red Lobster) have the same business model: use the cheapest ingredients in the most efficient way possible to provide meals that have excellent profit margins. This is sad, since you can get an excellent steak dinner at locations of The Capital Grille, also owned by Darden. Accordingly, you should avoid steak dishes at the Olive Garden unless you are fond of shoe leather! No wonder Darden is trying to sell OG and RL. If you are forced to go to the Olive Garden because it is the only place open nearby, or due to the preferences of an elderly relative, remember their business model. Do not order dishes that have expensive ingredients, since they will be of poor quality. Our experience today: the salad and breadsticks were good, if not spectacular; our salad only add three thin slices of an extremely small tomato. The Steak Gorgonzola had to be sent back after my mother-in-law, even with the aid of much sawing with a steak knife, had difficulty cutting off a piece and had to chew it for an inordinate period of time before being able to swallow it. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law ended up with the Eggplant Parmesan, and it was good - confirming the recommendation to order only dishes with cheap ingredients. Their new "fresh" tomato based dishes weren't bad compared to their dreary "factory" marinara sauce based dishes. My wife added the grilled shrimp, and it was decent even though the shrimp were undersized compared to most restaurants at this price point; however, they can only hide so much "downsizing" - so she didn't end up with popcorn shrimp in her dish. I had the Lobster Cannelloni, which had the taste of lobster without any apparently being present in the making of the dish! Still, it was decent, even with the popcorn shrimp and miniature mushrooms in the sauce. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, it just wasn't good enough to make you want to go back again. At least they took the Steak Gorgonzola off the bill and comped the lunch portion of Eggplant Parmesan for my mother-in-law, so I can at least bite my tongue and agree to go back when my elders suggest it and and cannot be easily dissuaded.

The most convenient but definitely not the best Olive Garden I've been to. They're actually bordering on the worst. The seats look and feel old, making them rather uncomfortable and a tad on the low side. At least they seem to keep the place clean. The food is very much on and off, just like the service. I've gotten great service a couple of times, but for the most part, they're on the slower side compared to other Olive Garden locations. There is something off about the food here. Perhaps they are afraid of seasoning or sauces. Whatever it is, they need to fix it, because I keep getting disappointed by my usual favorites turning out to be less than mediocre. I'm not expecting amazing Italian food. After all, it's a chain owned by Darden. But I'm expecting the food to at least be on par with other locations. The Altamonte Springs location next to Red Lobster not far from I-4 is still my favorite in the Orlando area.

Been to this OG a few times in the past, but not for years. We were seated and ordered our food in about 10 minutes. Our salad was brought to the table along with breadsticks and soup. The salad was full of the white leaves of lettuce head and had barely any dressing. It was not the usual salad you get from OG, well below standards. We barely had enough time for that single serving of salad when our food came out. They must make this stuff in advance they did not have time to make it fresh. Soup was fine and the chicken parm was good. Was not asked if we wanted another bowl of salad or breadsticks or drink refills. I asked for breadsticks, and some salad dressing on the side, and a child's drink and it took awhile to get them. By the time he came back my drink was empty it took another 10 minutes to get that, at that second round he dropped off the dressing. Expected really good service since this is in WP, but was below standards. I gave them 3 stars because the waiter was friendly enough and the main entrees were good and were served insanely fast. We will no longer go out of our way to go to this location. You go to OG because its consistant no matter which location you go to. But it appears as though we have to go to another.

So, Olive Garden did this whole "rebranding" thing, and I have to admit, I'm really impressed. New logo, new exterior decorations, way new interior design. I guess recently they got some bad press about not salting their water for pasta and cutting back on the garlic stuff on the bread sticks, and I can definitely say I had noticed the bread stick fiasco. But, rest assured, the good garlic stuff is back in full force on the bread sticks. The restaurant no longer has that rustic Italian cottage vibe; now the interior design is comparable to some of the local trendy spots (Carmel & Marlow's come to mind). The place looks good inside!! The lunch menu has changed. They're doing their soup, salad & bread sticks thing still, but now they have these $2.99 upgrades where you can add things like meatballs or small pasta dishes to your meal. I tried the chicken meatballs, which were pretty tasty! They're still falling short on the side of healthy options, but they do seem to have a new variety. I think they're finally catching on to the pressure from society to have healthy offerings. I went earlier this week with some coworkers for lunch, and our server was nice, but when we were trying to order a meal to go, he was a bit slow. Thankfully, he had put in the order while we were waiting to hear back on what side our coworker wanted. That was a great move!! I'll be honest, despite the changes and the improvement in bread stick topping, I was happy and excited to try it out again once, but Italian isn't usually my go to food.

Ok here's my input about this location. Very nice new design inside. Nice service, after coming out Bucca Di Beppo earlier that night, this was refreshing. Bucca was loud and overcrowded. I have been in several Olive Garden location around the US and this one was by far the best experience I have had with an Olive Garden. The food was nice, hot and didn't take long. The server was a nice lady, pregnant and very brave working as a server five month pregnant but with a smile and very helpful. The environment was very nice. Thank you Olive Garden for saving the night;)

Outdated decor! Feels like I'm at a frumpy grandma's house. I see that they updated the outside of the establishment with a brand new sign with a new look but I haven't been back to see the inside. My friend and I had the soup, salad & breadsticks, which is a great deal if your super hungry! I made it though three soups, two plates of salad & four shared baskets of breadsticks! I like that you can interchangeably try all the different soups. I can't remember which I liked best. The salad was good, breadsticks were good and the soup could have been seasoned a little better. Service is slow! Yet attentive. I made a point to let the waitress know ahead of time that she can bring us fresh breadsticks very FREQuently b/c we'll most likely go though several baskets. She was very good about bringing us another basket right as we were down to the last stick. I dunno... I'm kind of mixed because I liked it... But wasn't extraordinarily elated about it. Probably won't go back, unless I get sucked into it b/c my friend won't go anywhere other than bland american places.

Fast and friendly service. Fresh salad and entrées. Waitress, Opatra, was very pleasant and attentive. Dining experience at this location with crew of servers and cooks gave me an experience that reminded me of what good Olive Garden dining can be.

My husband and I got a gift card for Xmas and it was the only reason we went to Olive Garden for dinner. We stopped eating at Olive Gardens due to the quality of their food declining. Well, after this visit to Olive Garden we will be back! First, the remodel is beautiful. The restaurant has a more open feel to it. The new dishes and silverware are very nice. The customer service was remarkable from the moment we walked through the front doors. We were greeted warmly and seated immediatlely. Our server, Allison, was friendly and helpful while explaining many of the new menu items. She was very patient with us and offered some menu suggestions to us. We both decided to order the four course special which included soup or salad, an appetizer, entree and dessert. All the food was delicious! During our dining two different managers stopped by our table to see how everything was. They both wanted to know what we thought of the food and if we had any suggestions that would make our dining experience any better. To say the least we were highly impressed with this experience! We will definitely be back!!

I came out to Olive Garden for lunch. A client had sent my office gift cards, so that was a huge score! I've had bad service here in the past taking over an hour just for lunch with soup salad and bread sticks, but this lunch was a breeze. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The Soup Salad and bread sticks did not disappoint. We also added a side of Alfredo dipping sauce for the bread, and an appetizer of fried risotto. The fried risotto balls were not for me. The rice inside was bland and sticky with a hint of Parmesan flavor with a fried breading coating, and a small amount of tomato sauce on the side. Just the consistency of the sticky bland rice and the fried breading just wasn't appealing at all. Almost like eating fried balls of paste. We were in and out in right about 30 minutes. All in all had a great lunch for free!

My wife and I went to Olive Garden last night for the first time since they remodeled the building and menu. We were immediately very impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant looked very modern and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu had the old favorites along with many new items including the small bites section. We weren't super hungry, so my wife ordered the never ending soup salad and bread sticks. I ordered the chicken wings and a side of crispy asparagus. Both were very good. The wings were not your standard buffalo wings. Stacked with fresh spices and a great light sauce. A little on the spicy side, but that was just how I liked it.

Olive Garden has always been one of my favorite restaurants and every time i come in i get the salad or the pasta fagoli soup along with a dish, this time i got a chicken with stuffed cheese and it was good but the portions seems to have gotten smaller and the chicken was not as good as i though it would be. The salad is always great with that amazing dressing they offer and the free bread sticks and off course some sweet tea to go with all that except the tea was kind of watery and was not as good as usual. It's right across the street from the Winter Park Village witch is great if you want to catch a movie after eating. Over all the service was good but the parking also sucks as there is barely any spots to park and with traffic coming in from a busy road the lines get long some times waiting to catch a space in the parking lot. Waiting inside was quick and not painful, but over all they need to give a bit more portions for the prices witch are mid range to not cheap but not to expensive EXCEPT on some dishes.

This is getting 4 stars based on comparison to similar places like Red Lobster and Friday's and other Olive Gardens.. Not just on a general scale of all restaurants (in that case it would get a 2). Also, all of those Italian pizza places, mostly all named Anthonys, have a bunch of the same kinds of dishes but they are much more expensive and pretty basic stuff that comes right out of the case, jar, or bag from their food vendor in most cases. But Olive Garden does cheap "Italian" right. The food is hardly real Italian, but it's still SO GOOD. It's like when you eat a burger at a fast food place and you know you're eating some weird meat mixture but it's still delicious! Although I'm sure all of Olive Garden's ingredients are on the up and up, but you get what I mean. The staff is always great but today I had an exceptionally good server and it was so refreshing to not be too bothered or too ignored at any point. The bar area is a great place for a quick, cheap solo meal for lunch.

They are open late so my Grandmom's movie group likes to go here to eat after they watch a movie at the Winter Park Village. The wife and I got invited to the exclusive movie and dinner group a few months ago. We saw the Grey which was not loved by most of the group, but it's all about the camaraderie with these guys. After the movie we all piled in our Buicks and Cadillacs and drove across the street to this Oliver Garden. Darden has a great reputation here in Orlando and Olive Garden is one of their best performing brands. I noticed that they took off the calories that were next to each menu item for a while. I guess it wasn't encouraging customers to pull the trigger, but a heavy carb load every once in a while can't cause that much damage right? The service is good and the bathrooms are clean. All in all, we are fans.

Been to Olive Garden but first time at this location. Hadn't been to OIive Garden inawhile, but a friend of mine and I wanted something fairly healthy and cheap and that is what we got. We ordered the soup, salad and breadsticks deal. I also remembered having the Venetian Sunset drink so I had to order it. DELICIOUS!!! One of the best drinks I have had before, easy to drink, but also you can't tell the alcohol content until it hits you :) Not bad at all...If you don't want to wait for a table sit by the bar, there are tables there and the service is great. Good food, great service, and great conversation. Delizioso!

It's the Olive Garden you know the score here. For lunch soup and salad are the king that is all I would get from here. Orlando has much better homemade Italian food to offer. The service here has never been spectacular it's average but the salad and breadsticks are good no matter what.

This has always been my favorite Olive Garden to go to simply because of the service. The waiters are always friendly, young, and fresh. It's right across the street from the Winter Park Village and close to the Enzian theatre. My choice is usually fettuccine Alfredo with tira-misu for dessert.

Enjoyed a deliciously filling lunch with my friends. They have a menu that can pretty much satisfy any persons' taste buds. The hardest part about going to the Olive Garden is to actually come down and make a decision about what you want to eat! It all looks great. This is where the Olive Garden at Winter Park stands out in my eyes. The several times that I have been here I've always had a waiter/waitress that is ready to provide recommendations about what is best. Don't feel like a red sauce food? They'll know what to respond with. Adept in knowledge of their cuisine, they are also on top of their service in making sure everything is up to your standard as a patron. Booths are comfortable and plenty of distance away from another party. Would recommend to put in an RSVP so you can be seated immediately, or if you don't mind waiting a few minutes during lunch hour then walking in is just as fine. The bread sticks rock when they're not hard as rock. You can tell when they just made a fresh batch. If it's too hard just ask for a fresh baked basket. Overall, I will continue to come to this location as I am confident of their service and willingness to ensure a satisfying experience for your taste buds and belly.

First time at this Olive Garden. The service was very good, but the food was WAY below par. The pasta was over-cooked, and the bread was hard and stale. In the future, I will follow another reviewer's advice and just drive the extra bit to Altamonte Springs.

Boring. I have now been to the Olive Garden twice this year, and I don't plan on going back. This place is boring, the atmosphere is boring and the food is pretty boring. Nice service, though a little too chatty. Just let us enjoy our family time with each other. There are so many great Italian restaurants in Orlando, with similar prices... try those!

The food was very poor, even by Olive Garden standards. The poor quality of the food is obviously known to the kitchen, as they drenched everything they served in thick sauces. The service is mediocre as everyone they've hired is clearly a high school student, which is okay but makes for a poorer quality experience. And the prices are definitely too high for this poor quality. They need to either cut the prices in half or really step it up if they want to compete with locale Italian restaurants. I could get much better food for the same price!

server wasn't very attentive even though there was only 10 people in the restaurant. Bread tasted stale. I had spaghetti with meat sauce, which was good, but the service was lacking and i had to keep waiting for my drink to be filled

I usually go to this establishment every other month . Consistently for a quick soup and salad lite dinner this does the trick . Good service both quick to your table in the beginning and throughout the entire meal. I would defintely recommend this location for future meals.

I am pretty picky about food in general, but chose the try this Olive Garden location. I had a very good experience. First, I guess Olive Garden owns its own vineyards in Italy and I was offered to try one of their wines. there were several. I chose the white and was very impressed by its crisp pleasant taste and the smooth finish. I typically enjoy red wines from vineyards like Stag's Leap and Opus One and enjoy only a few white varieties like Gewurztraminer or Asti Spumante. It was a very nice white. For food we opted to try a few dishes. The Zuppa Toscana. Wow! It was really great. A brothy soup with a nice flavor and some Italian greens. For the dinner selection, i chose only from the dished that were from their "Culinary Institute of Tuscany." Olive Garden has a training for chefs in Italy and these I assume these are the dishes they developed there. I had the chicken marsala, the parmesan risotto and the grilled shrimp caprese. I am not a cheese fan so I asked for no cheese on the pasta dish. In the end my favorite was the pasta dish, but each was very very good. It's pretty incredible to me that a chain could produce food of this caliber. I docked one star because the server did not do a great job. Other than that, I had a great experience and would easily return with friends, family or business associates.

"Ri" was such a sweetheart, she went above and beyond to surpass our expectations. This branch is my far the best in Central Orlando in every aspect of hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, and customer service.

Attended this Olive Garden today and was very happy with. Been going to for years and years, and while I will miss it's darkly lit ambience I remember as a child as a fancy restaurant, the newly updated interior is nice. Took my mother and we both had exact same thing... peach tea, Buy one Take one dinners of spaghetti and cheese ziti, and of course tons of salad and breadsticks. Spaghetti was delicious, haven't had ziti yet. There was a delay in getting breadsticks out to start but since I can't vote 4.5 I won't fault them. Even let me use newspaper coupon of $4 off our meals, even though were a special. Will definitely be back again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
